SAFF Championship : Late magic lifts Nepal against Pakistan
KATHMANDU/ Hosts Nepal came from behind to level the match against Pakistan on Tuesday at the ongoing SAFF Championship further consolidating their chances to make it to the semifinals of the Championship.
Nepal had looked down and out until youngster Bimal Gharti Magar, who came in as a replacement late in the second half, scored the equaliser in the 90th minute in a game played at the Dashrath Stadium in front of the capacity crowd.
Both Nepal and Pakistan will take a point each from the match. Nepal find themselves at the top of Group 'A' with four points from two games.
They had started off their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh on Saturday.
Nepal will now play against the defending champion India on Thursday in what promises to be a mouth-watering contest.
