Baidya's report was abstract: CPN-Maoist reps
KATHMANDU : CPN-Maoist leaders participating in the ongoing party general convention has said the political report tabled by Chairman Mohan Baidya is vague as it doesn't clarify about the party's working policy.The CPN-Maoist representatives insisted that the party should opt for a revolt laid by the people's war.
During the group discussion on third day of the CPN-Maoist General Convention being held in the Capital on Friday, the representatives concluded that the chairman's proposal is not clear.
Abad State Committee member Anup Baral said discussions were held on the need to bring a new political document with a concrete strategy.
"Most of the party colleagues held discussions on the party's future strategy, the same issue will be raised by the group leaders," said Baral. He added that people's constitution, and people's republic, among other issues, figured in the discussion.
Likewise, Tharuwan state committee in-charge Devi Dutta Pandey said the discussion were held on long-term people's war and armed uprising.
Kathmandu district secretary Suresh Shrestha said Chairman's political report was abstract. Most of the representatives underlined the need to make the party's working strategy clear.
