Welfare activities by HDNP International in Nepal
With this communication we would like to express our gratitude to the individuals and families who helped us to help some desperate and needy in Nepal.
Help For Desperately Needy People International (HDNP) with your contribution brought smiles to many elderly, orphan children and homeless people in Nepal recently. Though 86 cents per day seems very insignificant; that can makes a miracle… brings many smiles on face. Locally we have been doing food donation to homeless people in DFW area every year and other welfare activities.
As you all know October is special month in Nepal as most of the population celebrate Dashain and Tihar festivals with families. On the auspicious time, HDNP founder visited Nepal along with HDNP Nepal team to help desperately needy people in Nepal.Our target was to bring some relief and smiles to people without families. Following are the main programs we accomplished:
Day feeding to 65 needy at Kuti
Helpless and needy people in Kuti are left by families are taking shelter at Shree Radha Krishna Shayam Kuti, Surunga, Jhapa. We wanted to give them at least something different for one day in a moth. Provided food and some allowance to give them some hope. We will continue feeding every month with the help of HDNP team in Nepal.
Warm clothes to 20 needy children
Jointly with Koupandole based PAPA’s Home organization we were able to provide warm clothes to 20 orphan children in need. Those children were picked up from the streets of Kathmandu valley as abandoned left by parents.
Helped 140 needy around Pashupatinath area
With HDNP Nepal Team we were able to provide some warm clothes (muffler and hat), food and fruits to very needy people around Pashupatinath Temple are. Most of them are either homeless or helpless or disable.
HIV Positive Kid Children
Few months ago HIV positive kids were helped by HDNP with food and clothes. Punarbal Plus is local organization working on welfare of those kids in need. 28 Children were benefited.
